We are hosting an art show, on October 12th, at LTV to raise money to bring awareness for children and adults with disabilities. Inclusion is not thought of enough, this is why the art will be sensory friendly to allow anyone to be able to enjoy and have the experience. If you or anyone you know has specific needs to be able to attend the event, please message us! It will be a place without limitations, allowing everyone’s abilities to shine. This is an experience that benefits anyone involved. By hosting this event, we aim to normalize the idea of inclusivity, hoping to enlighten many about the importance of making all events truly accessible. As neurotypical individuals, we often overlook the need to ensure that everyone has the freedom to fully participate and achieve anything.
We will be showcasing local artists across many mediums to truly demonstrate diversity alongside our main display, which includes a variety of artwork created by local students with disabilities. There will be an auction held online to allow people, both in person and remotely, to bid on the pieces of art. The goal would be to have the pieces created specifically for the art show, and have them represent the overall message the art show is displaying.
